Plan the move
Back up the staging database, application files, uploaded media, configuration, and encryption or signing keys before changing domains.
Production move checklist
- Point DNS and issue the final HTTPS certificate.
- Update the application URL and trusted-host settings.
- Confirm storage, CDN, webhook, email, and scheduled-task URLs.
- Replace sandbox payment credentials with approved live credentials.
- Update callback and webhook endpoints in each external provider.
- Use the license-management refresh action when the old installation binding must be cleared.
- Clear caches and test public assets, uploads, checkout, and administrator access.
Do not copy an active production database over another live site without a maintenance window and verified backup. Domain and license changes should be completed through the supported configuration and Client Area workflows.
