Use the guided browser installer
Upload the core package to the intended web root, extract it, and visit the site in a browser. The installer begins with automated checks so server problems are visible before account and database details are submitted.
Installation sequence
- Review application, database, cache, web, DNS, filesystem, worker, and media-tool checks.
- Enter the final website URL and confirm HTTPS.
- Enter database host, name, username, and password.
- Configure optional Redis, mail, storage, or integration details when available.
- Create the administrator account.
- Review the summary and complete installation.
Data safety
Normal upgrades are non-destructive. Fresh installation behavior and any reset controls are clearly separated from upgrades. Always keep a database and file backup before installing into a directory that has existing data.
Completion
The installer writes the configuration, creates the installation lock, removes the installer, and provides links to the public website and administrator area.
